John Barnes with UK Rigging 6 June 2008
"As a lighting technician i often have to work at height above the stage
while still trying to communicate with other crew on the ground. The Cooltalk
throat mic and the Motorola T5 combination has proved to be perfect for this
situation. Even in the loudest of work environments we were still able to
hear each other, making a very refreshing change from shouting and screaming.

Airkix News
"On the 8th March 2007 we
entered the Guinness book of records with our skydivers successfully remaining
airborne in freefall in our indoor wind tunnel for 1hr 23mins. We wanted to be
able to communicate with our flyers inside the tunnel using two-way radios but
due to the extreme 120mph + wind speed normal microphones would not work. We
then looked at throat microphones with no success until we tried the CoolTalk
VoiceBox throat microphone. With a little help from them were able to
communicate from inside the tunnel for the first time! We are now continuing to
work with Cooltalk to produce a communication solution for professional and
leisure skydivers to use whilst in free fall inside the tunnel or in the open
air helping with safety commands and make the experience much more enjoyable".

Tour de France 2006/7
For the 2nd year the Discovery
Channel US postal team will be using VoiceBox throat microphones as the
preferred method of communication as they are of course benefiting from the
massive reduction of ALL background and wind noise problems.
World
Service Interview
CoolTalk's Andrew Darby was interviewed on the 9th
November 2004 by the BBC World Service for their programme "Go Digital" which
discusses new technology in the market and that it was broadcast to an audience
of up to 50 million.
Excerpt from Times Supplement section
"technology in the workplace" 11th November 2004.
"Broadcasting
industrial secrets to everyone in earshot is not the best way to get noticed.
Cooltalk incorporates espionage gadgetry into a hands-free set that sits around
the neck and translates voice vibrations into electrical impulses and then back
into words using microchip technology. Used with an earpiece, it virtually
eliminates background noise, allowing the wearer to be heard without raising
their voice. Verdict: Be off sick and at the beach at the same time."
Excerpt from "Your old mobile is destroying the planet" by Geoffrey
Lean, Environment Editor THE INDEPENDENT - October 17th 2004
"...But
phone users do have something to cheer about: a new gadget to combat the curse
of the noisy mobile conversation. The Cooltalk VoiceBox, a device similar to
those used by security agents, is said to filter out blaring music or rattling
trains using microchip technology, so that the person on the other end hears
only the speaker's voice."
